A Brief on Dalian Rino

Dalian RINO Environmental Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd., a PRC company (Rino), is a provider of environmental protection equipment for the iron and steel industry in China. Specifically, Rino designs, manufactures, installs and services proprietary and patented wastewater treatment, flue gas desulfurization equipment, and high temperature anti-oxidation systems, which are all designed to reduce either industrial pollution and/or energy utilization. Rino 's manufacturing facility maintains the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environment Management System certifications, in addition to receiving numerous government and industry awards.
 
Products
Rino’s products series consist of three kinds of products in high technology:

Circulating, Fluidized Bed, Flue Gas Desulfurization System
High Temperature Anti-Oxidation System for Hot Rolled Steel.
 
Lamella Inclined Tube Settler Wastewater Treatment System.
Rino’s core product, the “Lamella Wastewater System,” is a highly efficient wastewater treatment system that embedded the company’s own patented ‘Lamella Inclined Tube Settler’ technology. The System is among the most technologically advanced wastewater treatment systems presently in use in China’s iron and steel industry. It includes industrial water treatment equipment, complete sets of effluent-condensing equipment, highly efficient solid and liquid abstraction dewatering equipment and coal gas dust removal and cleaning equipment.
 
Lamella Wastewater System can improves the stability of the settling deposition, increases the available settling area, shortens the settling distance for waste particles, reduces the settling time, and results in particle removal efficiency rates of up to 99%. After treatment with this technology and system, coal gas wastewater and wastewater containing iron mineral powder can be reused and returned to the production process without further treatment, allowing users to create a closed-loop. This lowers the overall use of industrial water for the enterprises, reduces the output of solid industrial waste, and improves the efficient use of resources.
The Lamella Wastewater System has been widely applied at large Iron & Steel factories in China and provides economic savings, environmental benefits and social benefits when applied. It has been successfully installed in some of the largest steel mills in the PRC which include, but are not limited to, installations at Jinan Iron and Steel Group, Co., Ltd., Benxi Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., Handan Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd., Tianjin Tiangang Group Co. Ltd., Shijiazhuang Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., Panzhihua Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd., and Anyang Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd.
 
Circulating, Fluidized Bed, Flue Gas Desulfurization System.
Rino’s another main product, Desulfurization System, is a joint development of RINO and the Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (originally the Chemical Metallurgy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences). The Desulfurization System is new proprietary technology consisting of a desulfurization agent inlet system, circulating fluidized bed desulfurization reactor, dust removal system, desulfurization dust removal treatment system, desulfurization wind pump system, monitoring system, electrical control system, and smoke flue system.
 
The Desulfurization System effectively treats the sulfur dioxide emitted from iron and steel industry sintering (a process in which sulfur and other impurities are removed from iron ore by heating, without melting, pulverized iron ore). The flue gasses that result from sintering contain sulfur dioxide which reacts with atmospheric water and oxygen to produce sulfuric acid that precipitates as “acid rain.”
 
High Temperature Anti-Oxidation System for Hot Rolled Steel.
Rino’s high temperature de-oxidation system is designed for Chinese market. In the process of continuous cast of hot rolled steel, oxidation loss ranges from 2% -5% on average. This translates into a loss of production output or throughput of 2%-5%. The oxidation in high-temperature steel production results in the waste of resources including water and energy, and additionally results in pollution. In the United States, Japan, and Europe, technology has been developed to ameliorate this problem, but the cost of the coating used in the process and the inability of the equipment to be utilized in high temperature environments limits its application to specialty steel products such as stainless steel, and silicon and carbide steel products. Because the Anti-Oxidation System is specifically designed to work effectively with the high temperature, hot rolled steel that comprises approximately 90% of the PRC’s steel production and 90% of world-wide production, this technology has a far broader market both in China and internationally than is the case for competing systems and technologies. Rino’s de-oxidation system is easy to put into use and costs less.
 
The Company’s Anti-Oxidation System is a high temperature de-oxidation system for hot rolled steel, it’s also a joint development of RINO and the Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (originally the Chemical Metallurgy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences). This is a new, high temperature plate casting anti-oxidation technology which is proprietary to the Company and patented. This Anti-Oxidation System is the only anti-oxidation process available for the iron and steel industry (both in the PRC and internationally) that can be applied in high temperature environments, and is a unique solution to the loss of production output due to high-temperature oxidation, which is a long-standing problem in the world-wide iron and steel industry.
The coating developed by RINO for use with the anti-oxidation equipment can be produced at relatively low cost, is usable in high temperature environments and is easily applied in a uniform manner. That coating can be directly sprayed onto hot steel slabs at temperatures of 600°-1000° C, thereby saving the increased costs and energy utilization that all other anti-oxidation equipment entails.
 
The high temperature, on-line, Anti-oxidation technology and Circulating Flueidized Bed Desulfurization equipment of the Company are newly developed technology and products with advanced development technology and are technically superior to like products developed outside of China. Both of these technologies have been successfully installed at major Iron & Steel factories in the past year and are both being sold into the market rapidly – they are widely accepted as solutions to real environmental problems in China.
